Revise the entry under 2. EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETINGS - Written support from other owners
The statement "To hold an EGM in Western Australia more than 25 per cent of all owners must request an EGM in writing. The notice period is 14 days." is not completely correct.
Schedule 1 of the WA Strata Titles Act 1985 at by-law 11(3) states:
The council may when ever it thinks fit and shall upon a requisition in writing made by proprietors entitled to a quarter or more of the aggregate unit entitlement of the lots convene an extraordinary general meeting.
1. The council may convene meetings whenever it thinks fit; and,
2. must convene a meeting in a certain time frame if petitioned by a quarter or more of the owners.
My feedback is "written support from other owners" is one of two ways a council may convene an EGM in WA.
